Dr. Russell’s HRS103-051: Blogging the ‘08 Election on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:10 to 8:30 PM. There is no book to buy for this class.
There’s never been a class like this at UCC before. Assignments can be submitted either by traditional means or through the class Blog at http://UCCHonors.wordpress.com.
In HRS103-051: Blogging the ‘08 Election we will:
- Explore and familiarize ourselves with informational resources on the internet.
- Examine specific domestic and foreign policy issues from the perspective of each candidate.
- Critique the approach both traditional & non traditional media take to the candidates and their campaigns.
Students will research policy positions and present their findings in the classroom, but will post them to the Honors blog. (see Dr. Russell or The Honors Studies Coordinator Dr. Shalan for more information)
UCC Honors classes are unlike traditional courses. They are more engaging and are challenging and fun. You’ll look forward to class. You’ll interact with professors and students on a whole new level.
At the end of your time at UCC, your college transcript will reflect your participation in the UCC Honors program. And if you do well, you will be recognized and graduate with Honors, which looks great on a College Application.
